Throughout the Bible there is documented many encounters with God on his Holy Mountains. There are many different mountains mentioned to include, Mt. Horeb, Mt. Gilead, Mt. Sinai, Mt. Zion, and Mt. Moriah just to name a few. Pictured on the cover of this Book is Mt. Zion but by the list you should be able to see that God did many works with many people on many mountains. We are going to take a journey with the people that encountered God on these various mountains. One thing you can say for sure about a Mountain, that it is a very high secluded place where many have not traveled. When on a very high secluded place with God, you can be sure that you are there only with God and God alone. God has your undivided attention. On the Mountain with God, you will experience the glory of God, and get to know him by name, your will receive instruction and direction, covenant and commands. You will obtain wisdom, faith; teaching, and provision. You will be changed, transformed, and overcome all your enemies. Be Blessed as you experience God on his Holy Mountain.

“THE FOUNDATIONAL HISTORY”
Jerusalem is currently the capital of Israel, although many do not recognize this city as Israel’s capital. It is the holiest city in Israel and considered the third holiest city of Islam. Currently the city itself is said to be divided into four quarters; American, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim quarters. Jerusalem is the core of Israeli and Palestinian conflict. Jerusalem is the source of most of the Middle Eastern conflict. Some would say Israel, but it really is centered on Jerusalem. Where and how did this all come about? These are some of the issues we want to explain and attempt to cover in this book. There is such a deep history with many Biblical facts. Why do we want to explain this through the Bible? The main reason is that this is a spiritual city. Ask anyone whether Christian, Jew, or Muslim! All would agree that this is not only a spiritual city, but more than that; it is an epicenter for all in this world and also in the next. This city holds some of the most spiritual sites that are keys with religious significance. Two of those sites are the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. This should give you a taste about the importance of this city in Israel and about things to come. It also should give you a hunger and curiosity about what is to come and be explained in this book. I am going to take more of the Christian worldview in this book, but cannot separate the Jewish roots that have started from the beginning of time.
Jerusalem is around 48 square miles and is approaching a million people. The name Jerusalem means “Founded Peaceful”. How ironic is that since peace is one thing that this city or territory is not having. But peace is the prophetic end to this city. Actually when the name of this city is broken down, it means (Jeruel); “Founded of God” or better yet established by God, and Salem meaning “Peace”. Jerusalem is one of, if not the oldest city in our history. Jerusalem was not always known by its current name. The first name of this city was Salem, with the next being Jebus, followed by the name Jerusalem. To understand about where we are now with Jerusalem and how we got to be where we are now and how this city became such a controversy is to go back to the beginning and try to explain and show you its roots.
